Lakemont Pines - Recreational Facilities
Lakemont Pines has a variety of recreational facilities located within walking distance of our Mountain Bearadise cabin. Guest identification tags and a parking pass are required! (and we provide them for you!)
Lake and Beach Use: You passed the lake on the way to our cabin. It is about ¼ mile (a fairly flat, less than 10 minute walk) back down Lakemont Drive. Available at the lake during the summer: paddle boats, a kayak and surfboard, shuffleboard, ping pong, a wonderful beach with sand, volleyball & badminton courts, horseshoe pits, grass area, fishing, restrooms, "lite"- shower facility, lodge facilities, snack shack and equipment check-out shed. Available year-round: BBQ areas and picnic tables, fire-pit, children's play structure and swings, fishing, and basketball hoop. There is a gentle walking trail that surrounds the entire lake.
Equipment Use: Equipment may be checked out – at no charge - at the Equipment Shed by providing a Lakemont Pines Guest Identification Tag. There are life vests, fishing nets, buckets, sand toys, water toys, frisbees, balls, and a variety of other water play items. Shuffleboard equipment, ping-pong equipment, volleyball and horseshoe equipment can also all be checked out.
Boat Use/Inflatable Raft: There are four paddle boats, a kayak and a surfboard that can be checked out at the lake. We also have two inflatable rafts (one heavy-duty one that sits 3 comfortably, with oars for 2; one smaller one that is good for 1 or 2 kids) that you are welcome to take to the lake; additionally, we have lots of inflatable mattresses/tubes and water toys you can use (these are stored in the master bedroom closet; there is a pump there, too). We also have a couple of kids' life-vests that you can use if you aren't going to our lake (you can check out life-vests at our lake at the equipment shack). |
